Raskelf Lake is continuing to produce nets of over 100lb of crucians, F1s, ide and tench. Carp to over 20lb, bream to double figures and tench to 6lb are being caught from Knotford on feeder and surface tactics. Catches of over 30lb of roach, ide and chub are being caught from Chellow Dene on bread and maggot. Committee members are reminded that the draw for this Sunday’s officials match at Ripon is at 9.30am.
LISTERHILLS AA
Last Saturday’s open match at Rodley was won with a catch of small fish weighing 2lb by D Stephenson, 2 P Woods (1lb 13 ½oz), M Pratt (1lb 9oz), 4 E Harrison 1lb 5oz. The next Saturday open is on June 8. Contact John on 07910-414468. For Sunday’s members’ match at Pilley’s the gate will be open at 8.30am with the draw at 8.45am. With the closure of Sutcliffe’s newsagents at Rodley, the nearest place to obtain day tickets are Pudsey Angling Supplies and Leeds Angling Centre. We are still looking for people to act as watchers at this fishery.

Catch details for week ending May 26 – Day ticket: Fewston 35, Swinsty 8. Thruscross (catch & return) 2. Total fish caught: Fewston 235, Swinsty 61, Thruscross 9. Average per rod: Fewston 6.7, Swinsty 7.6, Thruscross 4.5. The heaviest fish caught was a 6lb rainbow trout by Mark Dearden using blue and yellow Fritz. Fewston: Trout feeding on nymph and buzzers as large hatches of fly emerge. Mayfly in small numbers. Swinsty: Spinning accounting for perch, roach and trout. Plenty of fish feeding at all depths. Thruscross: Wild brown trout taking advantage of fly and spiders blown from the bushes.
CLAYTON AC
Tomorrow’s match is at Brafferton ghost lake, draw at 8.45am and fishing from 10am to 4pm. The cafe at the venue opens at 7.30am. There is still room for any member wishing to fish this match. Telephone Jason on 07787-148642 to book.
