Women’s head coach Mark Gunn is leaving his development post with Bradford Dragons and the University of Bradford to take up a similar position at Leeds Carnegie.
Gunn made a big impact during his two years in charge, winning the inaugural Women’s National Founders Cup North league title, finishing runners-up in the national play-offs, remaining unbeaten in British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS) and securing promotion into BUCS Northern 1A for the first time in the university’s history.
He continued the club and BUCS programme in 2012-13 and won the VCARS.co.uk Women’s Division Two North title, the National Trophy, the BUCS Northern 1A league title and was awarded VCARS.co.uk Women’s Division Two North coach of the year award.
Gunn said: “It was a tough decision to make (moving) but I would like to thank everyone involved in working hard to help achieve the vast development in Bradford’s female basketball since 2011.
“I am grateful for all the opportunities representing both programmes on and off the court.”
