Rawdon’s Sam Tordoff picked up another three points finishes in the second meeting of the 2013 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) at Donington Park.
The 23-year-old – acknowledged as one of the UK’s brightest young racing talents – lies in fourth place in the drivers’ standings.
“Racing in the BTCC is a career dream but to be sitting fourth overall and with our team (MG KX Momentum) leading the constructors’ championship is amazing,” said Tordoff.
“It is giving me the confidence to keep getting faster and faster, and we have another 24 races left in the season.”
Tordoff splits his time between racing and working at his family’s Bradford-based JCT600 car retail business. He is following in the footsteps of his grandfather Jack Tordoff, who competed in professional rallying in the 1960s and 1970s.
The next meeting takes place at Thruxton this weekend, with the races televised on ITV1.
