The top three divisions of the Bradford Saturday League starts this weekend.
Defending Naylor Premier League champions Crossgates begin with a fixture against Shipley Club A.
However, Pudsey A have recruited well this year and will be definitely challenging. They open with a home game against Ladyhill A.
Other fixtures include a local derby with Clayton A visiting Asa Briggs A, Pudsey Littlemoor A entertaining Brighouse Sports A, and Eccleshill A taking on their B team.
My tip for the league are Pudsey A, after adding Chris Mordue and the returning Liam Griffin, James Hanson and John Spinks to an already strong squad.
Another team to recruit well are Wyke, who will surely be pushing for promotion in the Godwin League this season after adding Peter Jagger, Jimmy Hearne, Peter Senior and Richard Crowther.
They, however, start with a difficult trip to Whitkirk, who will be looking to use their home green to help establish themselves at this level.
Pudsey B may well have a chance this season with such a large squad, but start with a tough match at Guiseley A, who just missed out on promotion last season.
Cranmore are another team who could use their home green to push for promotion, and begin with a home clash against Greengates A.
With Rufford A relegated back to the Godwin, it is certainly going to be a tough one to call this season. My tip for the title, after their recruitment, are Wyke.
Drighlington A will be looking to go one better than last season in the Observer League under the captaincy of Lisa Rice, and open up with a home game against Queensbury A.
Ladyhill B have had an amazing run over the last three seasons, winning the Riley League in 2010, the Haigh League in 2011 and the Bartle League in 2012.
They will surely find the Observer a tougher task, but cannot be ruled out with Kim Ramsden at the helm.
Newcomers Blakeborough Albion are first up for Ladyhill B. Wibsey A are mixing youth with experience as they look to move back up the leagues after a few tough seasons, and open with a home match against Hollies S&SC – another club on the slide.
Other opening-day fixtures are Horsforth Woodside A entertaining Crowghyll A, and Heckmondwike at Hightown. My tip for the title are Drighlington A.
