Mark Land has dominated the Bradford Closed Table Tennis Championships in recent seasons, carrying off no less than 15 titles in the last four competitions.
This season’s event at Keighley last Sunday saw Land defending four of those titles but he had to settle for just one success.
In the men's singles, Land faced stiff competition from Sharia Masoudi and Peter Morgan, and it was Land and Masoudi who met in the final.
In a pulsating contest, Land triumphed 11-9 in the fifth game to take the singles crown for the fourth time in five years.
Masoudi was victorious in the veterans' singles and also took the men's doubles with Deo Jones.
Shamir Boze took both the mxied doubles with Kath Manogue and the consolations singles, while Peter Morgan won the handicapped singles and the handicapped doubles with Graham Manicom.
