Bingley Bees 6, Bradford Thirds 1
Bingley Bees made an uncharacteristically slow start against Bradford Thirds, allowing the visitors possession for much of the first five minutes of this Yorkshire Men's Division Six North clash.
However, once on the ball, the hosts were immediately on the attack and narrowly missed a goal in the fifth minute.
Robbie Manning made amends a minute later, however, putting the ball nicely past the keeper.
It then became all Bees pressure, and Bradford found it difficult to break into the home half.
Joe Manning calmly slotted the ball into the goal in the tenth minute and Robbie Manning made it 3-0 in the 24th minute.
Ben Clough got a fourth five minutes before half-time and the Bees were already confident of victory.
Bradford started the second half strongly and were rewarded with a goal in the fourth minute but it was to be their only success.
The home side again became dominant, with a number of chances going begging before James Pearson powered in their fifth goal from the edge of the D after 15 minutes.
Good, flowing hockey throughout the game created many chances and often had the defence in trouble.
Defender Simon Woodhead missed a golden opportunity to get on the scoresheet before Robbie Manning completed his hat-trick with a well-taken reverse stick shot and only a minute left on the clock.
The Bees remain solidly in third place and look forward to a game at Harrogate Fifths next Saturday.
Bingley Bees 1, Leeds Adel Carnegie Seconds 1
The visitors began as the stronger in the first quarter via their passing and skills, and a momentary lapse by Bingley just before half-time helped Carnegie take the lead in this Yorkshire Women's Premier Division clash.
In the second half, Bingley raised their game, a string of strong passes allowing Sarah Hall to equalise.
Cath Burgess was player of the match as she moved into a half position rather than her defensive back.
Huddersfield Dragons Thirds 2, Bingley Bees Seconds 3
Bingley Bees' second team had a late afternoon fixture against Huddersfield Dragons at Lockwood Park in Yorkshire Women's Division Four.
The visitors were determined to maintain their winning streak but would soon have a fight on their hands as Huddersfield took the lead within six minutes.
However, it was not long before striker Jane Sharkey equalised. Receiving a well-placed pass from Sarah Eaton on the right wing, Sharkey was able to take her seasonal tally to nine goals.
The Bees were able to use their experience against a very young side. Huddersfield made a fundamental error in front of their goal, clearing straight to the stick of Bees captain Cath Wood.
She then returned the ball, wrong-footing the Huddersfield goalie and making the score 2-1 before half-time.
The second half was hard for both sides, with the majority of possession going to the visitors.
But the Bees' defence had to work very hard, and joint player of the match Sharon Stamp was instrumental in keeping Huddersfield at bay.
However, Huddersfield's tenacity was to be rewarded with a second goal, making the match all-square.
But it was to be a break down the left from Wood that proved decisive. She took the ball into the D and, after a number of attempts, pushed the ball to the left of the Dragons' keeper.
The visitors now realised they had to control the game via teamwork and commitment.
The game was interrupted with only six minutes to go when the floodlights failed but, after a short break, the Bees returned to protect their lead.
The game was to take a last-minute turn when Huddersfield's umpire blew his whistle, indicating he had seen a foul in the Bees' circle, and a penalty flick was awarded to the home team with only two minutes left.
But the hosts' last chance was denied by a diving save from keeper Rachel Fuller.
Player of the match was awarded jointly to midfielder Eaton and defender Stamp.
