Bradford sides are back in action on Sunday in the Yorkshire Inter-District League.
Division One leaders Bradford No 1 take on defending champions Sheffield No 3 at Undercliffe Cricket Club, while Bradford No 2, who top Division Three, are at home to Selby at Manningham Ward, also at 7.30pm.
The billiards side, who are also enjoying an excellent season, are scheduled to travel to Harrogate, looking to maintain their second place behind Leeds.
The Moorhouse Shield gets underway tomorrow, with first-leg matches in Bradford billiards’ prestige team event.
Holders Lilycroft WMC travel to Clayton Rugby B, with other ties being Chapel Green Liberals v Wibsey Liberals, Queensbury Cons v Great Horton Cons and Eastbrook v Clayton Rugby A.
Return legs are to be played a week tomorrow, and results are to be sent by the winning captains as soon as possible.
The next round of the Hey's Trophy and first round of the E Rosse Hopkinson Plate snooker competitions will take place on February 21 and 28.
In the Bradford Snooker Championships, defending champion Gareth Green (Lifeline Leisure) is safely through to the last eight after a 4-1 victory against Josh Walker (Undercliffe Cricket), while nine-time champion Wayne Cooper (Laisterdyke Cricket) won by the same score against Pilky’s player Danny Farmer, as did Allerton Cons’ John Wellham against Mark Slater (Clayton Libs).
Howard Mawson (Eccleshill Vic Cons) won 4-2 against Dave Stirk (Undercliffe Cricket), and Kevin Firth eased through 4-0 against Undercliffe Cricket Club colleague Tony Borza 4-0.
The draws for both the singles and the pairs will take place on Sunday at Undercliffe Cricket Club, following Bradford No 1s' match with Sheffield No 3.
The deadline for entries into the Yorkshire Snooker Championships has been extended to January 23.
There are two qualifying dates - February 24 or March 24 and entry fee for the competition that is sponsored by and played at the Northern Snooker Centre in Leeds is £15.
At the same venue on Saturday are the Yorkshire Under-16 Snooker Championship (11am registration), while the Yorkshire Under-19 Snooker Championship is on Sunday (10.15am).
Entry fee for both events are £5, while forms and further details on the competitions can be obtained from Yorkshire secretary Richard Bakes (07940-651850).
