Bradford Bulls have announced that Leanne McPherson has re-joined the club as Head of Performance for the 2025 season.
McPherson previously worked at the Bulls during the 2021 season and has since performed roles at Keighley Cougars and Hull FC, having also launched her own Sports Therapy business this year.
She will manage all things medical at Bradford in 2025, covering physiotherapy and rehabilitation among other duties.
McPherson, who is also the sports therapist for the Welsh national side, told the Bulls website: “I am really excited to be back at Bradford, it’s my hometown club and there’s a great atmosphere around the place.
“There’s been a lot of change and the club seems to be heading in a really exciting direction, so I’m looking forward to being a part of it.”
Explaining her role, she said: “Pre-season begins next week with a lot of testing and screening.
“We’ve got Cardiac Screening, provided by the Danny Jones Defibrillator Fund, coming in for all the players from the first team down to scholarship to make sure we’re looking after these players as best we can.
“The ultimate goal is to get as many players out on that field as much as we can.
“Obviously injuries happen but we’re looking to get everyone as prepared physically as we can to withstand another long season in rugby league.
“I know some of the players from my time at Bradford previously and having being in and around the club at various points in between, as well as a few from previous clubs too.
“I’m confident that my familiarity with the club and players will allow for a smooth transition into this pre-season and that we can hit the ground running.”
