JAKE Reeves is a doubt for his return to Valley Parade tomorrow.

The Wimbledon skipper faces a late test on the ankle injury that forced him off in last week’s 3-0 win over MK Dons.

“We’ll make a late call on Reevesy,” boss Johnnie Jackson told the club website.

“His ankle was sore afterwards. He couldn’t get through the game and had to come off.

“It has settled down though pretty nicely.”

Wimbledon head to BD8 in fourth place after three wins on the bounce – and three clean sheets.

Jackson believes the big win in their grudge match with Milton Keynes acted as the ideal warm-up for what they face at City.

“It’s got a big game feel and I think it’s a great one for us. I think we got in some good practice for that last weekend.

“It certainly won’t be louder or more vociferous than what we had on our own patch. We made that a cauldron but this will be the flip of that.

“We’re going up there with the expectation that we can win the game but know we’ll be in for a really difficult one.

“We’re going to one of the iconic stadiums in the country with probably the biggest crowd you’ll play in front of in this league.

“My players are going to have to manage the emotion and the atmosphere again.

“I don’t think we’ve cracked anything and we won’t be taking our foot off the pedal.”
