Bradford Bulls have announced the loan signing of exciting outside back Jack Smith from Leeds Rhinos until the end of the 2024 season.

The 19-year-old, who has represented England at Academy level, has had previous experience in the Betfred Championship via a spell on dual registration at Halifax Panthers.

Smith can feature in the centres or on the wing, providing quality and depth to Eamon O’Carroll’s backline following injuries last weekend to Jayden Myers (HIA) and Liam Tindall.

Bradford boss Eamon O’Carroll said: “Jack is really highly thought of by the coaching staff at Leeds and I have had conversations with (Rhinos assistant) Scott Grix about Jack.

“He is an athletic player who just wants an opportunity to play.

“Jack has played at this level before and he has competed really well so we are looking forward to bringing him in.

“He is available for us this weekend against Barrow and will feature in our team on Sunday.”
