Bulls have announced their latest scholarship intake, which includes a quartet of youngsters from Bradford community club Birkenshaw Blue Dogs.

Charlie Turpin, Lennon Morris, Elliot Magson and Ben Kavanagh have all been taken on by Bulls for the 2025 season.

They are joined by four players from Stanningley, four from Dewsbury Moor Maroons, and one youngster apiece from Guiseley Rangers, West Bank Bears, Milford, Elland and Featherstone Lions.

All 17 of the new young players were presented to the Odsal crowd on Sunday at half-time of the Betfred Championship clash between Bradford and Wakefield.

Bulls’ head of youth Ryan Hunkin enthused: “I am delighted with the new cohort of scholarship players we have introduced to our club.

“The work the Talent ID team, headed by Alex Stephens, have done in pulling the squad together has been outstanding.

“It is a very special moment for the players, and families, and one for them to celebrate and recognise the achievements in gaining a scholarship.

“The community clubs where these players have been enjoying their rugby league from a young age continue to do a great job in developing not just rugby skills, but life skills, and we are thankful for the army of volunteers that put so much into the game.

“Myself and my staff cannot wait to get these young players in to training at Tong and watch them develop over the next two years and beyond.”

Jayden Myers is a good example for the youngsters to look up to.

He came through the scholarship system at the club before joining the Under-18s ahead of the 2020 campaign.

And though his progress was curtailed by Covid-19, he worked his way up tirelessly to make his first-team debut last year.

He is now a first-team regular for head coach Eamon O'Carroll, either on the wing or in the centres.

The full list of the 17 scholars aiming to follow in Myers' footsteps is:
