BRADFORD Bulls have decided against any potential suspension appeal for powerhouse, Ebon Scurr.

The forward was charged with Grade C Dangerous Contact and a Two Match Penalty Notice for an incident in Bradford’s 12-12 draw at Toulouse.

He was also fined £125 by the RFL.

With the Odsal outfit down to the bare bones with injuries and suspensions, it was expected that the club would appeal the decision.

However, they’ve voted against it and Scurr is set to miss this weekend’s game at home to York and he will also miss Bulls’ trip to Widnes Vikings.

Speaking to the T&A, head coach Eamon O’Carroll said: “We got some advice on the situation, and it has pushed us towards not appealing Ebon’s suspension.

“We didn’t want to put Ebon in a situation where he’d have to miss an extra game.

“Of course, we’re very disappointed in that because there was certainly no malice in what Ebon did, and I think he’s equally frustrated because he’s missed a lot of games this season from a very similar sort of tackle that perhaps didn’t get brought up at the time.

“Managing Ebon and his emotional side to that is going to be very important, but he’s really focused on doing what he can to help the team prepare for the next two games.”
