GEORGE Goodman helped Northern Ireland to a clean sheet in their opening game of the Euros under-19s finals.

The City centre half came on at half-time for Gareth McAuley’s side, replacing Daithi McCallion, in the 0-0 draw against Ukraine in Larne.

There were few chances at Inver Park last night but the best fell to the visitors with Sheffield Wednesday keeper Pierce Charles saving well from Ramik Hadzhyiev and Hennadii Synchuk.
