CITY will finish next season in the play-offs – according to the SuperComputer.

The data-crunching boffins have been at it again to see how the 2024/2025 League Two campaign will unfold.

And the Bantams, who return properly to pre-season training on Monday, are listed to finish fourth.

The Grosvenor Sport analysis predicts relegated trio Fleetwood, Port Vale and Cheltenham to occupy the three automatic places – with the Cod Army topping the table on 86 points.

City are tipped to be the “best of the rest” in the highest play-off spot with 80 points. That’s 11 more than they accumulated last season – and just two behind Cheltenham in third.

If the computer programmers are to be believed, Graham Alexander’s side will then face Gillingham in the play-offs. Accrington and MK Dons would be the other semi-finalists.

New boys Bromley have been written off for an immediate return to non-league alongside Newport.

You might wonder how the SuperComputer can come up with all this? Then read on … The SuperComputer is a probability model, not determined by human predictions or bias.

What happens is the SuperComputer estimates the outcome of each remaining fixture based on a team’s current strength (based on factors such as league position and form) and betting market odds.

The machine then simulates the remaining games in a season 1,000 times and constructs an average league table from the 1,000 simulations, to rule out freakish results.
