BULLS will be waving goodbye to outstanding forward Eribe Doro, who will join Super League title challengers Hull Kingston Rovers on a two-year deal at the end of the season.

The 23-year-old joined the Bulls last summer and has since made 22 appearances, scoring one try.

Initially brought in last August on a deal until the end of the 2023 season, Doro had such a good first month at the club that a few weeks after signing, he was offered a one-year contract for 2024.

Bulls would have loved to have kept Doro for 2025 and beyond, but with the prop’s options open due to his contract expiring at the end of this year, he has opted to make the move up to Super League.

It is Doro’s powerhouse tackling and territorial gains that have impressed the most during his time at Bradford, so much so that Bulls head coach Eamon O’Carroll hailed him as “the best player in the league at present” after a win over Sheffield last month.

Discussing his departure from Odsal at the end of this year, Doro said: “I just want to say a massive thank you to everyone at the club.

“I feel like I’ve created a special bond with each person member of staff and the team alike and that’s helped me take my game to a new place this year.

“There’s not much I’ll miss more than running out to our incredible fans.

“Thank you all, but we’re definitely not done yet. There are still definitely some big things to accomplish here.”

O’Carroll added: “With the quality of player and the quality of person Eribe is, with how well liked he is within the club, it is obviously really disappointing to lose him.

“But the other side is that we’re really proud and happy for him.

“We’ve had long discussions with Eribe for a while now and he has been the ultimate professional from the start in those conversations.

“He made his intentions clear, he loves it here and he wouldn’t have wanted to leave for anywhere other than Super League.

“We are really happy for him but first and foremost, I’m proud for how he’s worked extremely hard for the opportunity and I know he’ll go and smash it.

“He addressed the group and let them all know that his priority is finishing as strong as we possibly can together.

“He is making sure he enjoys the rest of the year and I am confident he will do that and really kick on now.”
