CITY will spend less time on the motorway next season because of the more northern bias to League Two.
Crawley’s Wembley victory in the play-offs last weekend knocked the longest journey off the Bantams calendar.
City will avoid that 500-mile round trip as well as the 462 miles there and back to Sutton and 384 to Forest Green, who were both relegated.
But the new fixture list, which comes out on Wednesday, June 26 at 9am, will include a first trek to promoted Bromley – who are exactly the same distance from BD8 as Sutton in south-east London.
In total, City will travel 5,712 miles next term - barring the usual fun with road works, diversions and motorway junctions being shut in the early hours of the morning.
Look on the bright side, that’s 202 miles less than last season.
With Crawley going up, Gillingham are once more the furthest destination at a combined 472 miles.
The other away days beyond 400 miles, including new boys Bromley, are Wimbledon, Newport, Colchester and Swindon.
Harrogate is still the shortest hop at a mere 42 miles from Valley Parade to Wetherby Road and back.
