YANN Songo’o is among three former Bantams to be released by Morecambe.

Songo’o was one of 12 players to go as the Shrimps announced their retained list last night.

Oscar Threlkeld and Jordy Hiwula are also on the list of exits from the Lancashire club, who are currently without a manager.

Songo’o, signed by Derek Adams last summer after leaving Valley Parade, played 46 times for the club.

Threlkeld’s start in the 3-3 draw against Swindon on the final day was only his third Morecambe appearance.

Hiwula, City’s top scorer under Stuart McCall in 2016/2017, played nine times without a goal.

Boss Ged Brannan left Morecambe straight after the season finished to return to Accrington as assistant to John Doolan.

Brannan had been in charge at the Mazuma Stadium since November when ex-Bantams chief Adams left for an ill-fated return to Ross County.
