JON Tomkinson has been called up again by the US Olympic team – ruling him out of two City games next week.
The on-loan Norwich defender will join Calum Kavanagh in missing the matches against Notts County and Harrogate.
Tomkinson has been named in the USA’s under-23 squad building up to this summer’s Paris 2024 Games.
He will travel with the American team to Girona in Spain to face Guinea next Friday before taking on Olympic hosts France, who are coached by Thierry Henry, in Sochaux on Monday, March 25.
Tomkinson has started the USA’s last three warm-up games and has six caps in total.
The 21-year-old had to wait for his chance at Valley Parade after Mark Hughes secured him on loan at the end of the summer transfer window.
But he has been a regular since Graham Alexander brought him into the side at the beginning of December and has started 19 of City’s last 20 games.
