THREE of City’s Premier League promotion winners have teamed up again in the dug-out at Port Vale.

Darren Moore has added Wayne Jacobs and Gary Walsh to his backroom staff after recently taking the League One hot-seat.

It will be the third time that number two Jacobs has worked with Moore after previous spells together at West Brom and last season with promotion-winning Sheffield Wednesday.

Former Bantams stopper Walsh also worked under Moore at West Brom during a five-year spell as goalkeeper coach at the Hawthorns.

Moore, who has also appointed Lee Bradbury and Jamie Smith as first-team coaches, told the club website: “I am very happy to have been given the opportunity to build my own coaching team here at Port Vale. I would like to thank the club for allowing me to recruit a strong team of people that I trust.

“We are all familiar with how one another work having worked together and achieved success in the past. I know the qualities of each individual and exactly what they will bring to the club.

“I look forward to working with them all once again. We are all working tirelessly to turn our current performances, form and results around.”

Moore was appointed by Port Vale last month following his sacking by Huddersfield, where he won just three out of 23 games.

Walsh, Jacobs and Moore were all regulars in the Bantams backline that won promotion to the top flight in 1999.
