CITY will keep on demanding more from Clarke Oduor after he played a leading role against Sutton.

Oduor followed up his goal-scoring display in the MK Dons win with another assist in an eye-catching effort at the weekend.

Manager Graham Alexander wants to see more consistency from one of the most technically-gifted players in his squad.

Having impressed in back-to-back games, Alexander wants to see Oduor keep those high standards going.

“Two’s not enough for me,” said the City chief. “Let’s make sure we keep him right and keep him motivated.

“What I liked was that it was a physical game but he competed well and filled in the gaps between his moments of quality with doing a job for the team.

“That’s what we need from every player, which we got.

“But we know if we can get him on the ball and in one v one situations, he’s going to be able to create.”

Oduor unlocked Sutton’s defence with the pass that set up Calum Kavanagh to clinch City’s third straight win.

Alexander added: “It was great skill and the ball was perfect for Kav.

“Clarke also went close with a diving header, which I was surprised to see.

“But fair play he’s in there, he’s getting across his defender and that’s all we ask him to do. Go and commit to the action and give it a go.”
