CITY made it three wins in a row by seeing off Sutton in a proper slog at Valley Parade.

T&A chief sports writer SIMON PARKER watched the Bantams bank another three hard-earned points and provides the match stats and his player ratings.

MAN OF THE MATCH

Clarke Oduor was told to turn it on regularly by his manager pre-match – and the midfielder showed he could do the physical stuff as well as demonstrating his technical ability again. Also, hats off to Sam Stubbs for a sterling job in his first midfield assignment - and Sam Walker, the barrier in City's goal.

MOMENT OF THE MATCH

City raced from one end to the other in impressive fashion for a well-worked goal. The final pass and the finish were absolutely spot on.

MOAN OF THE MATCH

Andy Cook will be kicking himself for not taking at least one of his chances first half – and the rebound when Tyreik Wright’s late shot was parried.

TACTICS

With Richie Smallwood suspended, there was a reshuffle in central midfield.

Alex Gilliead, who wore the captain’s armband, returned to the middle and was partnered by Sam Stubbs. The centre half moved into a holding role with Kevin McDonald on the bench.

Lewis Richards wasn’t ready to return after his facial injury from Wrexham, so Liam Ridehalgh was recalled into the left wing-back role.

The bench saw a welcome return for Tyreik Wright as well as youngster Noah Wadsworth, who had been brought back from his loan spell at Farsley the day before.
