CITY continue to find scoring hard to come by after yesterday’s goalless draw with Wimbledon.
T&A chief sports writer SIMON PARKER was at Valley Parade and provides the match stats and his player ratings.
MAN OF THE MATCH
Ciaran Kelly set the tone defensively with a thundering early challenge and remained strong throughout in protecting City’s clean sheet.
MOMENT OF THE MATCH
Kelly thought he had broken the deadlock from a City corner but his thundering drive was blocked in front the line by Wimbledon captain Armani Little.
MOAN OF THE MATCH
City’s scoring problems go on – they had some bright moments in the first half but failed to apply anywhere near enough pressure on the Wimbledon goal in the second.
TACTICS
City made two changes from the Bristol Street Motors Trophy and there was a tweak in formation.
Sam Walker returned for Colin Doyle as expected but Andy Cook dropping to the bench did come as a surprise.
Skipper Richie Smallwood was restored to the side after missing the Donny clash through suspension and partnered Kevin McDonald in central midfield.
Alex Gilliead and Harry Chapman played further forward in support of Jake Young.
