CITY’S home game against Salford today is OFF.
Referee Martin Coy ruled the Valley Parade pitch was not playable following constant heavy rainfall from yesterday through to this morning.
The Sunderland official carried out an inspection of the playing surface at 11.30 and decided the game could not go ahead.
The postponement will come as a big frustration for the Bantams who were chasing a fifth consecutive victory in all competitions.
Salford have also been struggling with injuries and had 11 players missing for their last game.
The wet weather around the country is having a significant impact on the League Two programme.
The games at Barrow, Mansfield, Sutton and Forest Green are also off, while Grimsby were holding a succession of pitch inspections.
