CITY are hoping to organise a practice game to fill their blank weekend.
The Bantams face Liverpool under-21s in the Bristol Street Motors Trophy at Valley Parade next Tuesday.
The round-of-32 tie at Valley Parade has been confirmed for December 5 with a 7.30pm kick-off.
But Graham Alexander’s men are not in action on Saturday because it is the FA Cup second round.
The City boss is trying to fill the gap with a closed-doors contest.
“We’re trying to put some plans in place,” he said. “There’s no need for any major breaks or holidays because we’ve got the EFL Trophy game on Tuesday.
“We’re trying to get a game sorted but we haven’t had any luck at the moment. There are players that need game time and match minutes.
“We haven’t managed to do that yet but hopefully we will.”
Liverpool under-21s scraped into the knock-out stages after losing two of their three group games.
The young Reds finished second behind Blackpool in northern Group A – level on three points with Morecambe and Barrow. Liverpool’s goal difference was marginally better to see them clinch second spot.
City breezed through their qualifying group with maximum points after wins over Grimsby, Manchester City under-21s and Barnsley.
