BRADFORD City teenager George Goodman had more minutes on the international stage earlier this week.

He was playing for Northern Ireland’s Under-19s against their Hungarian counterparts, and was named in their starting XI.

Goodman, a centre-back, played his part in a well-fought contest, but in the end, Hungary claimed a 2-1 victory.

The match was part of a UEFA Preparatory Under-19 friendly tournament.

Goodman’s talent will be nurtured in the academy by new lead professional development phase coach Neil Redfearn, as well as the academy’s head of coaching, Ryan Farrell.
