JON Tomkinson played the full game as the USA beat Japan in their latest Olympic warm-up last night.

Johan Gomez, Paxten Aaronson, Aidan Morris and Duncan McGuire all scored in a 4-1 win in Phoenix.

Tomkinson, City’s on-loan centre half from Norwich, got the 90 minutes under his belt – to go with the hour he played against Mexico’s under-23s on Friday.

He is due to fly back today and could be in contention for the squad to face Wrexham this weekend.

Tomkinson, the last signing for Mark Hughes, has so far made just one sub appearance for the Bantams since his loan move went through after the summer transfer deadline.
