WIMBLEDON had only themselves to blame for losing to City.

That was the verdict of frustrated home boss Johnnie Jackson after Emmanuel Osadebe’s second goal of the week secured the three points at Plough Lane.

Jackson was cursing a tale of what might have been for his side, who have won just once in six attempts at home this season.

“We had enough chances to win the game, let alone get something,” he said.

“They had two chances in the whole game, it’s frustrating and hard to take. We’ve had four of five clear-cut chances.

“We also had a clear penalty turned down. We have to be disappointed that we’ve come away with nothing.

“The performance level was still good. Was it as good as we have been? Perhaps not but we still limited a very good team to very little.

“The fact that we haven’t taken our chances is on us and then we went and conceded a soft goal.”

Wimbledon were unbeaten in their previous four games and would have jumped to second spot with a win.

Jackson added: “We should be annoyed and frustrated with ourselves.

“But the last time we lost a game, we went on a really good run after that. We need to see that response again.

“We don’t become a poor team overnight, we’re a good side. We were dominant and we have to remember that.”
