IT WAS better late than never for City as Jamie Walker salvaged a point against Harrogate.

T&A chief sports writer SIMON PARKER watched another dour home game and provides the match stats and his player ratings.

MAN OF THE MATCH

Jamie Walker was the one player who took the game to Harrogate and looked like he had a goal in him - which, thankfully for City, he did in the depths of time added on at the end.

MOMENT OF THE MATCH

It was a slightly muted reaction for a late City goal but Walker got a head on Brad Halliday’s free-kick punt to flick it past the onrushing Harrogate keeper.

MOAN OF THE MATCH

City once again found it hard to create much in another dull home game and the fans made their feelings crystal clear after the final whistle despite the late goal.

TACTICS

Mark Hughes started with a 4-2-3-1 formation for the first time this season with Chishom Afoka leading the line on his full league debut.

Clarke Oduor was also back from international duty on the left of the three behind the Aston Villa loan striker.

Tyler Smith was declared fit enough to be on the bench, where there was also a recall for Adam Wilson. Matty Derbyshire and Ciaran Kelly missed out on the 18 completely.
