CITY are being linked with one of their play-off conquerors from last season.
John-Kymani Gordon pressured Brad Halliday into scoring an own goal in the 3-1 defeat at Carlisle that killed the Bantams’ promotion dream in May.
According to a report today from Football Insider, the 20-year-old Crystal Palace striker is interesting Mark Hughes for a possible loan move.
But it is understood that the Bantams are fighting with League One clubs for his services.
Oxford, Burton and Fleetwood have all been mentioned as well as Belgian side RWD Molenbeek.
Gordon, who recently travelled as part of the Palace first-team squad on their American tour, scored twice in his half-season loan with the Cumbrians.
Hughes is chasing loan additions from higher divisions to bolster his squad before the September 1 transfer deadline.
He has a strong relationship with Palace after Scott Banks enjoyed a successful time at City last season.
But the presence of three potential suitors from the level above means Hughes would face tough competition to land Gordon.
