Bulls winger Jorge Taufua looks set to miss the rest of the season, after being charged with biting in the defeat to Barrow at Odsal on Monday.
He has been handed a Grade F charge over the incident, which saw him red carded, and if found guilty at his upcoming tribunal, he will be suspended for at least six matches.
That would mean his last game of the regular Betfred Championship campaign would come at Batley on Sunday afternoon, though he could still come back in time for the play-offs if Bulls finish in the top six.
It would be a bitter pill to swallow for interim head coach Lee Greenwood, who was speaking to the T&A about the incident on Wednesday afternoon, before the charge was handed down.
He said: “From what I can gather the Barrow guy has put his forearm in Jorge’s mouth, so I’m not sure what Jorge is expected to do about that.
“We’ve had a chat about it and I’ll be speaking to the guys on the Match Review Panel who look at these decisions.
“As I said after the game, it was a funny one, because you don’t tend to see those types of incidents given as red cards instantly, they normally just get put on report.
“But I’m still not sure what he’s done wrong, and I’ve seen the video of it and heard the communication on the field around the incident.”
