LEVI Sutton has left City to join Harrogate for an undisclosed fee.

The midfielder, signed by Stuart McCall in July 2020, made 96 appearances in claret and amber and scored five goals.

But Sutton has been restricted to sub outings this season - 13 of his 17 league games have come off the bench.

Harrogate at Valley Parade was one of his starts during the run of three home games after Christmas.

Sutton came on for half an hour at Wimbledon following Jamie Walker’s red card but was an unused substitute last week against Stockport.

The 25-year-old, who had a brief loan spell with Harrogate in 2018, said: “I’m delighted to have it all done, as soon as Harrogate expressed their interest it was something I wanted to do.

“I know the gaffer and Thirs (Paul Thirlwell] and some of the boys here. (Matty) Foulds has just joined and (Jack) Muldoon I know from back in Scunthorpe, so I’m excited to see them.

“I want to come in and help us get some positive results, hopefully push up the table. It’s a tight table and I know what a run of wins can do so that’s the aim and we’ll see where it takes us.”
