MARK Hughes insists there are “no dramas” after City’s back-to-back losses to promotion rivals.
The Bantams lost fifth spot following the 3-0 defeat at leaders Leyton Orient at the weekend.
It is the first time they have suffered successive league defeats this season - and both to teams above them in the promotion race.
City now have five days before their next action at second-from-bottom Gillingham on Sunday.
Hughes will use that time to try to lift spirits again but he made it clear that his confidence in the squad has not been shaken.
“These two games haven’t been what we wanted but no dramas we’ll work to get back on track,” said the City boss.
“We’ll be there or thereabouts at the end of the season. Everybody knows that.
“We need to come through this period, get back on track and do the things we know we’re good at to put these two defeats behind us.
“We need to get back on a run again and do that very quickly.
“We’re at the top end of the table and will be at the end of the season.”
Defender Brad Halliday was unhappy that City let in three for the second game running.
“We were beaten by the better team, if I’m honest,” he admitted.
“It’s not nice conceding another three goals. We’ve got to get back to our structure and go from there.
“It’s something we need to address quickly. We’ve got to look at ourselves individually and as a team and come up with a gameplan when we play these teams above us.
“When we go there, we do expect to win the games. We didn’t just go to Leyton Orient hoping to take a point.
“That’s what makes it so disappointing not to come away with anything.”
Hughes decided against risking Dion Pereira, who had been ill in the build-up to the weekend. Lee Angol took his place on the bench after not being involved in City’s previous two games.
Hughes said: “Dion had been suffering in the week and I had other players that could come in. It was obviously Lee Angol’s old club as well so I wanted to see if we could get a reaction from that.”
