BRADFORD City Women will be gutted, as their chance to play their Newcastle United counterparts at St James' Park later this month has been taken away.
The ground holds over 50,000 spectators and is one of the most iconic in England.
Newcastle play in the same division as City, the FA Women's National League Division One North, and were due to host Charlotte Stuart's side on Sunday, November 27.
But given the Lady Magpies won their FA Cup tie against Hull City on Sunday, they will now host Barnsley at St James' in the second round on that date instead, with the Bantams now due to host Chorley at Horsfall in a league encounter on the last weekend of this month.
It is a shame for the Bantams, who relished the experience of facing Leeds United at Valley Parade last season, and will hope to get chance to play at a big stadium again soon.
A scheduling clash meant Barnsley lost their chance to play at St James' last season, when they pencilled in to go there, so the South Yorkshire side will feel they deserved this second chance.
