CITY grabbed yet another away win yesterday, their sixth in seven in League Two, as they beat Sutton United 2-0 at Gander Green Lane.
T&A sports reporter NATHAN ATKINSON was in South London yesterday afternoon, and he gives his opinions, match stats and player ratings from City’s victory.
MAN OF THE MATCH
Scott Banks scored a worldie, looked a constant attacking threat in the second half, and chased after the ball like his life depended upon it when not in possession. A worthy man of the match.
Special mention to Abo Eisa, who had some bright moments on the left, with his shot leading to Andy Cook's opener. You would never have known it was his first start in a year.
MOMENT OF THE MATCH
It has to be Banks' goal just after the break. We all know how much of threat he is when he cuts in from the right wing on his left foot, but this curling effort was special. A sprinkling of Premier League quality from the on-loan Crystal Palace winger.
MOAN OF THE MATCH
City were not at their best in the first half, and Sutton could probably count themselves unlucky not to be ahead before Andy Cook's opener against the run of play on 37 minutes.
TACTICS
Mark Hughes made two changes to the side that won at Mansfield on Tuesday, with Abo Eisa coming in on the left wing in place of Tyreik Wright (back spasm) and Yann Songo'o replacing the suspended Matty Platt in the heart of defence.
City set up in a 4-2-3-1, Hughes' preferred formation, with Eisa, Harry Chapman and Scott Banks lining up, from left to right, behind the in-form Andy Cook.
