BRADFORD Bulls face a mouthwatering derby at York RLFC as their first away game of the 2023 Championship season, and it will be televised on Viaplay Sports.
The game will take place on Monday, February 13, with kick-off at 7:45pm, and Bulls will be hoping for a repeat of last season's game at the LNER Community Stadium.
That was also on a Monday night, back in August, and out-of-form and depleted Bradford stunned play-off chasing York 20-16 with arguably their best performance of the season.
Bradford's first league game takes place eight days earlier, as they welcome Whitehaven to Odsal on Sunday, February 5.
Bulls have suffered ugly defeats at home to Whitehaven in both of the last two seasons, so Mark Dunning will hope his side can make it third time lucky on this occasion.
A day after that Bulls versus Whitehaven game, Keighley Cougars have been handed a cracking televised fixture to get their first Championship campaign since 2014 underway.
The 2022 League 1 champions could not have it much tougher, as they host Featherstone Rovers, who reached the play-off semi-finals last season and the Million Pound Game in the two campaigns before that.
That game at Cougar Park will also be televised on Viaplay Sports, and will kick off at 7:45pm on Monday, February 6.
Only the first two full rounds have been revealed so far, with the rest of the fixtures announced at 5pm tomorrow evening.
Keighley's second game sees them visit Widnes Vikings on Sunday, February 12.
A handful of Viaplay fixtures beyond those two February openers have been revealed though.
And while Cougars are only pencilled in to face Fev on Viaplay up to now, Bulls have a few televised games.
As well as that match at York on February 13, they will also be visiting Fev on Monday, March 6, be away to Halifax Panthers on Easter Monday (April 10) and up in Newcastle to take on the Thunder on Friday, June 2.
