ANY Bantams fans attending last night's Champions' League game at Man City would have done a double take in the car park.
Was that a club badge on the side of Real Madrid’s team bus outside the Etihad Stadium?
The Spanish superstars travelled from their hotel to the semi-final on Eavesway coaches – the same company that transport Mark Hughes and his players up and down the country.
The Bantams had asked the Wigan-based firm at the start of the season if they would brand a couple of the buses with the club badge to give it a more impressive look arriving at away games.
And one of those was among the number that turned up to carry Madrid’s squad and their numerous coaching and support staff to the ground, although it is understood that the players were not on the particular bus emblazoned with the City crest.
Real were beaten 4-3 in a cracker of a game. The second leg takes place at the Bernabeu next Wednesday.
