SOME of Bradford's biggest sporting figures have voiced their support for England in their quest to become Euro 2020 champions.

Stars from football, rugby league, and boxing all feel England will have too much for the dodged Italians when the pair face off tomorrow in the final at Wembley.

Bradford (Park Avenue) manager and former Bantams defender Mark Bower is fully behind the Three Lions to get the job done.

He added: "It's been a difficult last 14 or so months for the whole country, these boys have unified us all and given us a smile.

"We are right behind them and have every confidence in Gareth and the boys! Bring it home!"

Even though their alliances lie elsewhere, captain Steve Crossley says the Bradford Bulls cannot wait to watch England strive for glory via the toughest route.

He said: “Everybody is giddy about the football in training and the Whatsapp group.

"It has been a good lift for the country after the year we have had so it is nice to have something to celebrate.

"We will be back home in time from our game to watch it live. We are in a good position in the league (third) looking to secure that playoff spot. Hopefully, we can get the win then celebrate watching England follow suit.

"I can see it going to penalties in typical English fashion, but I think we will come out on top this time. Football is coming home!”

Holme Wood boxer Darren Tetley, who represented England as an amateur, believes Harry Kane and co. are brilliant for the youngsters of today.

He said: "Even if you are not a massive football fan, everyone is gripped by the England games, it does not matter if you are 12 or 80. It is bringing the country together.

“Although they are celebrities, these players have no idea how much of a superstar they are now to all the kids up and down the country. When I was younger you always wanted 'Beckham 7' on the back of your England shirt and now these players have gone to a whole new level of stardom.

"I think we will be 1-0 down at half time and then win 2-1 in extra time.”
