LATER today England face old rivals Germany in the last 16 of Euro 2020 at Wembley.
The two nations have a long history with each other, especially on the football pitch - England beating West Germany to win the 1966 World Cup, Germany winning on penalties in the Euro 96 semi-final (when current England manager Gareth Southgate missed the decisive penalty), 5-1 in Munich in 2001 when Michael Owen scored a hat trick as England ran riot, and Frank Lampard's ghost goal at the 2010 World Cup when Germany knocked England out.
Ahead of the historic match, which kicks off at 5pm in front of 40,000 fans inside Wembley and millions watching at home, we went into Bradford to try and track down some Germany fans, and to explore the history of the section of Bradford which bares the country's name - Little Germany - and the role Germans have played in building the city of Bradford.
Pubs across Bradford will be screening the match this afternoon, with former Bradford City loanee Jordan Pickford expected to start in goal for the Three Lions.
You can also follow coverage of the game in Bradford on our live blog later today.
