A FORMER Bradford City striker and current Premier League player has been charged with drink-driving.
Oli McBurnie, who plies his trade with Sheffield United, was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving in the early hours of Friday, October 18, in Leeds.
The 23-year-old Scottish international, who was born in Leeds, has since been charged with driving over the prescribed limit.
He will appear at Leeds Magistrates' Court on November 6.
A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "A 23-year-old Leeds man will appear before magistrates next month after being charged with a drink-driving offence.
"Oliver McBurnie, from Leeds, will appear before Leeds Magistrates' Court on November 6 after being charged with driving over the prescribed limit in Leeds in the early hours of Friday, October 18."
McBurnie is a Bradford City youth product, playing with the likes of James Hanson and Nakhi Wells between 2013 and 2015.
The forward made four starts for the Bantams and 20 appearances in total, without scoring a single goal.
In the summer of 2015, McBurnie was moved on to Swansea City, where he eventually had a break-out season last year.
He scored 24 goals over 44 games for his club, earning him a club record move to Sheffield United for £17 million.
