Gary Tasker believes Bulls fans can be the “14th man” for Mick Potter’s side in Saturday’s crunch home clash with Hull FC.

Victory in their final home game of the regular season would take the Bulls another massive step towards securing a play-off berth.

Tasker reckons fan-power can inspire Potter’s in-form side to a sixth straight home win and is urging supporters to turn out in force for the televised clash.

Interim chief executive Tasker said: “The fans have been absolutely brilliant this season and they can be the 14th man again this weekend.

“We need the whole community of Bradford to come out and support the guys on Saturday and make it a special night.

“The supporters have played a massive role during this most difficult of seasons and they can help us to secure that eighth spot.”

RFL officials are understood to be meeting with the Bulls squad today to update them with the latest news surrounding the club’s proposed change of ownership.

Two bids are on the table from Bradford Park Avenue and Omar Khan, with both offers currently being scrutinised by the RFL.

Tasker, who returned to the club on an unpaid basis at the start of last month, added: “Don’t underestimate what Mick Potter, his staff and the players have done for the city of Bradford this year.

“Under extreme circumstances, they have showed outstanding professionalism in the way they have prepared for games and performed on matchday.

“To be still in there with a chance of a top-eight, and in control of our own destiny, despite being docked six points is just phenomenal.

“In adversity, you find out a lot about people. We’ve had a group of people who have stood up and been counted.

“A place in the play-offs is the least these guys deserve and another win on Saturday would put us within touching distance of that.”

Meanwhile, Bulls legend Robbie Hunter-Paul will be signing copies of his new book Robbie: Rugby Warrior from 5.30pm at Odsal on Saturday.

A donation from sales of the book at the stadium on the day will be given to the Bulls’ Hardship Fund.
