Keith Lulia admits the continued uncertainty surrounding the Bulls’ future has left him fearing he could be left high and dry.

The imposing centre joined Bradford from Newcastle Knights on a two-year deal during the winter and has acclimatised to the Super League in style.

It is to be hoped that a deal to buy the club could finally be struck this week but the future for Mick Potter and his squad remains unclear.

The 17 players out of contract at the end of the year have been given permission by the RFL to talk to other clubs about moves elsewhere, but those committed to the Bulls beyond this season cannot.

“It’s too early to say what will happen because we have to sit back and wait for a decision to be made,” said the 25-year-old Cook Islands international.

“But if the club liquidates or goes into the Championship most of the players will be gone.

“The boys that are on contract for next year, we don’t have permission to speak to other clubs.

“We just don’t know what to do and are just sitting and waiting. But the longer the wait the less of a choice there will be because all the other clubs are filling their squads for next year.

“It’s just making it harder for us players who are on contract and especially us quota players too because there’s not many quota positions.”

Lulia paid tribute to the Bulls supporters for helping him through his off-field worries and ideally he would like to stay at Odsal .

He added: “The fans have been incredible this year but, despite the way it’s unfolded here and all the stress that we’ve been put through, I would be happy to stay at Bradford.

“But I would still have this season and what we’ve been through in the back of my mind, so we’ve just got to wait and see.”
