Heath L’Estrange believes the Bulls are proving all their Super League rivals wrong as they gear up for tomorrow’s crunch clash with Hull KR.

The joint-captain and hooker has been delighted with the manner in which his side have responded to being docked six points for entering administration.

Victory against the Robins tomorrow would lift the Bulls level on points with Craig Sandercock’s men.

L’Estrange said: “It would be a remarkable achievement to make the eight. Nobody would have thought that possible.

“As soon as the administration came around every other side will have thought ‘they will be easy to beat for the rest of the season’, but you can see we are not.

“We have 17 blokes playing week in and week out that want to win and another ten who come to training every day trying to push us and get back into the side.

“They train a lot harder than the blokes who are playing and they are really pushing us. We are really looking forward to the game and we just want the two points on Friday night.”

L’Estrange paid tribute to the coaching and backroom staff who have worked on a voluntary basis since being made redundant.

He added: “Everyone just wants to help each other. “All those people who are working for nothing – and the boys are just trying to pay them back.”
