Hull FC 46 Bradford Bulls 6
Jamie Langley was carried off on a stretcher as the Bulls were subjected to a thumping defeat in their final pre-season friendly at Hull FC.
He was knocked out cold in the fourth minute following a heavy clash of heads with former Bulls forward Lee Radford, who was playing in his own testimonial game.
Langley lay on the turf for around five minutes before Mick Potter’s men, who trailed after just two minutes through Kirk Yeaman’s try, hit back through Jason Crookes’ interception score.
Yet that was as good as it got for the Bulls as they went on to concede two more tries before half-time and a further six in the second half.
It was a chastening debut for former Crusaders duo Elliot Kear and Jarrod Sammut as Potter’s side struggled badly to stem the black and white tide.
Bradford were guilty of handling errors throughout and the defensive weaknesses which undermined them so often last season resurfaced again - with the Super League opener against Catalan Dragons now just a week away.
