Craig Kopczak has hailed his Bulls team-mates for helping him overcome the death of his father.
The Bradford-born prop has enjoyed a breakthrough campaign in Super League, despite dealing with significant personal tragedy.
Dad Andy lost his battle with cancer in March, aged just 43, the same day Kopczak featured in the Bulls’ 28-16 defeat at St Helens.
Coaches and team-mates alike were amazed by the way the 24-year-old coped with the loss, winning man of the match in the 24-22 win against Harlequins just nine days later, but he admits he couldn’t have done it without help from friends and family.
“It’s been tough for me, obviously, after what happened with my dad,” said Kopczak.
“The boys have been around me and they’ve helped me a lot, as well as my family and my wife.
“They’ve been supporting me through these hard times."
