Bulls back-rower Ian Sibbit will turn Wigan’s own proud history against them in a bid to end their Challenge Cup dreams.
Born and raised there, Sibbit developed an undying passion for the cup after watching his home-town club win eight straight during the 1980s.
But the former Warrington and Salford star has never got his hands on the trophy and will use his childhood memories as inspiration for Sunday’s fifth-round clash at Odsal.
He said: "I was raised with rugby league. I grew up in Wigan’s glory days, when they won ten Challenge Cups in a row and people like Shaun Edwards and Ellery Hanley were my idols as a kid.
“Rugby league in Wigan is massive, especially the Challenge Cup. The people of Wigan love the Challenge Cup and a lot of that is due to the success.
“I’m no different. I’m a massive fan of the Challenge Cup and I’d love to get to a final."
