Olivier Elima is ready to rip into Wigan after making a shock return from injury – four weeks ahead of schedule.
The Bulls had been resigned to losing their influential back-rower until mid-June before a remarkable turnaround allowed him to rejoin training on Tuesday.
Initially diagnosed with knee ligament damage, the Frenchman was instead told the problem was merely bruising. And only three weeks after fearing his season could be over, Elima will attempt to help his side into the quarter-finals of the Challenge Cup.
“Olivier Elima looks like he’ll be available for this week,” said boss Mick Potter. “We’ll just see how he gets through training.
“There was some worry initially about the posterior cruciate but that was unfounded. It was just bone bruising on his tibia.”
