Chev Walker fears his Bulls career may be ended by a fresh injury setback.
The experienced centre has been plagued by problems over the past two years and now faces a further three months out following an ankle operation.
It is the second time this season Walker has been struck down by injury, extending a spell of bad fortune sparked by an horrific broken leg in September 2009.
And having signed on for just 12 months at Bradford following a winter switch from Hull KR, the 28-year-old cannot help but think time is running out in his bid to secure a new contract.
“The biggest frustration is that all my peak years have been marred by injury,” said Walker, who was due to undergo surgery this morning.
“But I’m mentally strong and I still love the game, so there’s no doubt I’ll be back.
“It’s come at an awkward time because you’re coming into the second half of the season now.
“I’m playing for my future and that goes through your head because it could be important in decisions about whether I have to move on or not.”
