Just three days into his Bulls return, Ben Jeffries has already got his feet under the table.
Assistant coach Francis Cummins is pleasantly surprised how quickly the Aussie has slotted in following last week’s switch from Wakefield.
Aided by his recent past, having spent the 2008 and 2009 seasons at Odsal, Jeffries has had no problems getting up to speed and looks set for a place in the halves at Hull KR on Sunday.
Cummins said: “The quality of Ben and the experience he’s had around Super League has shown even in the four sessions we’ve had since he joined.
“It’s easier because of his recent past at the club. Although the calls may have changed, you don’t reinvent plays and he’s dropped straight back into Bradford’s calls.
“He knows where he’s going, he knows what we want from him and it just gives us another number in the squad."
