Bulls capture Ben Jeffries is determined to prove worthy of a Super League long-service award.

If the half-back sees out his freshly-inked Odsal deal, he will become the first Australian to complete ten years in the competition.

But first Jeffries, who arrived from Wakefield late last week on an 18-month contract, must make himself an indispensable part of Mick Potter’s plans.

“I want to be an important part of this team going forward,” he said.

“Ultimately it will leave me with ten years in Super League and I don’t think any other Australian player has done that.

“I’ll have had exactly ten years of Super League. I would never have foreseen that when I first arrived in the country but I’m the type of person that doesn’t close any doors.

“I love living in England, I’ve adapted to the lifestyle and my wife and kids are settled here too. We wanted to stay and I’m excited to be playing for Bradford again.”
