The Bulls booked a Challenge Cup date with the reigning Super League champions following their fourth-round triumph against Halifax.
Wigan lie in wait a fortnight down the line thanks to an unconvincing 46-34 win in yesterday’s West Yorkshire derby at the Shay.
The fifth-round clash will take place at Odsal on Sunday, May 22 (3.30pm) after the Bulls were selected to be televised by the BBC for the second round running.
But boss Mick Potter knows his side will have to improve to avoid embarrassment in front of a national audience.
He said: “We face the current Super League holders. It’s good that it’s at home, that’s the positive to come out of it.
“We’ll have to be at our best to compete with them because they’re a quality team. But we’ll worry about that one in a couple of weeks.”
Although Potter was pleased to seal victory in the first competitive Bradford-Halifax derby since 2003, he was less than happy with the manner in which they did it.
